Radiant health for the body, mind and soul

In Chinese medicine the body is seen as a microcosm of nature, intimately connected to its cycles and elements. Acupuncture defines health as a state in which our meridians (pathways) are open and qi (energy) flows freely and abundantly. When these channels become blocked or depleted, a range of ailments can emerge. My practice is committed to assessing the root cause of the imbalance and reestablishing the smooth flow of energy. I treasure working with people at every stage of life, from infants to elders.

For two decades I have been using gentle Japanese-style acupuncture, time-honored Chinese herbal medicine, and whole food nutrition to resolve illness and optimize health.

Women’s Health

Chinese Medicine has a long history in supporting women through all stages of life with special care for healthy menstrual cycles, fertility + pre-conception support, pregnancy + postpartum, and menopause.

Pediatrics

Painless needle-free treatment method designed especially for kids.  Treats everything from colic, coughs, ear infections, diarrhea, constipation, failure to thrive, bedwetting, emotional + nervous system issues, and hyperactivity.

Family Wellness

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine benefit the whole family by helping the body find its homeostasis and balance. This modality is also a successful method for treating and managing a wide spectrum of western-diagnosed diseases from acute and chronic illness to autoimmune disease.

Facial Rejuvenation

Acupuncture is a surprisingly effective alternative to botox, fillers, and surgery. It stimulates collagen production, smoothes out and erases wrinkles, tones and lifts sagging + drooping skin, and increases overall radiance + skin luster.

Recalibrate, Restore, Heal

I am a passionate practitioner of Japanese-style acupuncture which is defined by its palpation-centered, painless approach to needling.  My role is to pay close attention to each person’s patterns and constitutional strengths and design customized acupuncture treatments and herbal prescriptions.  I believe the body has an inherent ability to self-regulate and restore balance.  With skilled hands and a wealth of experience to draw upon, my approach guides the body’s journey back to health.

What others say about us

Tara is an incredibly gifted acupuncturist and healer. Her work has been a blessing for me – I breezed through my pregnancy – despite being an older mom of 43. She helped me with my energy levels and spent time with me around diet and nutrition.

Kim McAuliffe

I saw Tara for peri-menopausal bleeding that my Western healthcare could do nothing about. I visited once and within three days, with acupuncture and Chinese herbs, the bleeding stopped entirely.

Thank you, Tara!

Jaci H.

For several years now I have had consistent pain in my lower back and neck. After dislocating my right shoulder, I began to feel radiating pain along the right side of my neck and into my shoulder. I started seeing a chiropractor , but the relief was only temporary and required I see the doctor three times a week. After seeing Tara one time, the relief was immense and lasted.

Molly

Tara has been our family health practitioner for almost 20 years. I first saw her to help recover from a broken wrist which just would not heal properly – I couldn’t flex my wrist backwards more than a few degrees without severe pain. Five acupuncture sessions later my wrist was 100% back to normal.
